About Village Ventures
Village Ventures is a seed and early stage venture capital firm that invests in exceptional entrepreneurs building technology and life sciences companies in emerging U.S. technology centers. These markets offer world class innovation but lack institutional seed and early stage capital. Through its unique network of Partner Funds, Village Ventures gains access to promising investments at attractive valuations in these markets. Village Ventures leverages the geographic disparity in the concentration of venture capital. According to company research, 77% of venture capital goes to markets with only 17% of the population and 25% of the graduate degrees. The Village Ventures network of funds is active in domestic emerging technology markets that are less crowded by established venture firms. Village Ventures’ markets are typically rich in intellectual capital and are home to universities, colleges and Fortune 1000 companies. They offer a higher quality of life and lower cost of doing business than traditional venture capital centers. Village Ventures invests in promising opportunities identified by its general partners as well as the investment professionals of its Partner Funds. The Partner Funds in the Village Ventures network are The Berkshires Capital Investors, Williamstown, MA; The Worcester Venture Fund, Worcester, MA; Long River Ventures, Springfield, MA; Tall Oaks Capital, Charlottesville, VA; FreshTracks Capital, Burlington-Middlebury, VT; Inflexion Fund, Tampa, FL; Point Judith Venture Fund, Providence, RI; Solstice Capital, Tucson, AZ; Borealis Ventures, Hanover, NH/Portland, ME; Highway 12 Ventures, Boise, ID; High Peaks Ventures, Albany, NY; Spring Mill Venture Fund, Indianapolis, IN.
