Biographical Profile

Mr. Bartlett is Of Counsel in the New York City office of Fish & Richardson P.C. Mr. Bartlett’s focus is on alternative investments, including venture capital, particularly for high-technology companies. He has been profiled in trade publications as one of the leading practitioners in venture capital nationwide. His practice focuses on emerging companies, initial public offerings, corporate restructurings, private equity finance and buyouts. For the past 43 years Mr. Bartlett has practiced in the corporate securities/finance sector. His representations ranging from multi-billion dollar reorganizations (Tandem Computer into Compaq; DBL Liquidating Trust, disposing of Drexel assets) to the organization of start-ups and assisting in the seed rounds. His published materials and teaching assignments focus on the journey from the ‘embryo to the IPO.’ Among his academic credentials, Mr. Bartlett is a Courtesy Professor at Cornell University and The Johnson School of Business. He is a graduate of Harvard College and was a former President of Stanford Law Review and Adjunct Professor, New York University School of Law. Mr. Bartlett is admitted to practice in New York, Massachusetts and Washington, D.C.
